Theo Croker’s seventh album, LOVE QUANTUM, released on Star People Nation Sony Music Masterworks, explores the most powerful life force in the known universe: LOVE. For this new opus, the trumpeter, composer, producer and GRAMMY-nominated artist once again called on several top-tier musicians and singers to join him in his quest to celebrate love in all its forms. Croker says: “LOVE QUANTUM is the sequel to my last album ‘BLK2LIFE AFUTURE PAST’ which dealt with the hero’s journey. Now, the hero must learn love, and this sequel is therefore a tribute to the divine feminine light called ‘Love’. It is a tribute to love as a universal force and to all the different levels of love that can exist... the love of a friend, the love of a partner, the love of family and community, the love of nature, the love of oneself and the love of life.” Featuring exceptional guests such as Jill Scott, Chris Dave, Ego Ella May, Gary Bartz, Jamila Woods, Kassa Overall, Teedra Moses and Wyclef Jean, LOVE QUANTUM approaches the love story from a different angle, creating pure sonic bliss throughout the album’s eleven powerful tracks, a skilful blend of Jazz, Hip-Hop, R&B and Nu Soul. “For me, LOVE QUANTUM was an adventure to make,” adds Croker. “A large part of the music is connected to ‘BLK2LIFE A FUTURE PAST’ and I created it very quickly. By channeling the positive energy of confidence in myself and in the other people who worked with me, we laid something down and went for it, without much revising or revisiting or sitting with it for a while. We deliberately drew on the same vibrations and techniques to continue the plot.”
