After "Afro Physicist," which received critical acclaim upon its release in 2014, young trumpeter Theo Croker (he was born in 1985) returns with a new album that does not seek to confine itself to a particular musical categorization and for which he wrote all the compositions. Theo Croker is well within the current jazz movement but with a tendency to merge styles into a unique sound. This innovative alchemy is simply a reflection of his desire to pay homage to the tradition of this music while propelling it into the future. "In the interest of honesty, music should not simply serve as an artistic expression of humanity through tones and rhythms, but it should also reflect the society that gives it life," confides Theo Croker.
