Description

A legendary album in the history of pop music, this masterpiece by the Zombies is, for some, to be placed alongside Pet Sounds by the Beach Boys and Sgt. Pepper's by the Beatles. Rod Argent and Chris White deliver true harmonic gems carried by Colin Blunstone's angelic voice. Surprisingly, when the Zombies create this peak of sophistication, their career is waning. With this must-have, they abandon the endless covers that the era demanded to write a true concept album, certainly influenced by the Fab Four and the Beach Boys. Clouds of psychedelia, torrents of divine harmonies, melodic choruses like never before, this trip, although quite short, strings together pop songs with a refinement that remains modern (Time Of The Season, Care Of Cell 44, A Rose For Emily, Friends Of Mine). A must (re)discover urgently.
