"Maisha" is the first track from the upcoming album: the lyrics speak of the daily struggle for a better life, and the powerful sound, spanning from traditional to modern, features the Queens on vocals, illimba, and percussion, with the Wamwiduka Band on backing vocals and percussion, along with a production including drums, synths, and powerful bass. The Zawose Queens will follow in the footsteps of their father and grandfather by performing at WOMAD in July in Wiltshire.
