The Undertones formed in Northern Ireland in 1975. Their 3rd album 'Positive Touch' was released in 1981 and marked a break from the fast pop-punk of their first 2 albums, but with songwriting that was still just as demanding. The punk-derived energy has almost entirely disappeared, replaced by a varied, softer instrumental palette that includes new textures such as piano, recorders and brass. The magical "Julie Ocean", which contains a current of anxiety, as well as much faster tracks like "Fascination" or "His Goodlooking Girlfriend" are incredibly strong. This reissue is an exact replica of the original embossed sleeve and has been pressed on white vinyl for the first time.
