It's been over 20 years since we last heard from them, but in the mid-90s, they released three 7" vinyls: Goat Songs, The Girl With The Thing In Her Hair, and Singing Death Chants To The Stars. Each of these releases was so different that rumors spread, claiming they were Drag City artists releasing under cover with Sea Note. These suggestions were insulting to The Sundowners, whose musical eclecticism and adaptability were among the best-kept secrets of the decade. Perhaps that's what led to the long break between the third and fourth 7"? In the end, none of that matters... just drop the tonearm into the groove and you'll experience the singular sound of The Sundowners with a whole new feel.
