The Soft Cavalry, composed of Steve Clarke and his wife Rachel Goswell (Slowdive), presents their eponymous debut project. Recorded with the participation of pianist Jesse Chandler (Mercury Rev, Midlake), guitarist Tom Livermore, drummer Stuart Wilkinson, and Steve's producer/brother Michael, the album oscillates between romantic introspection and a creative exercise, thanks to Steve's talent catalyzed by Rachel. Between Pink Floyd, Talk Talk, and R.E.M., the album is an emotional and melancholic journey that represents a creative culmination for both artists.
