The Manchester band The Slow Show will release their fourth studio album, their first in 3 years, titled STILL LIFE via [PIAS] on February 4. The making of this new album was a real uphill battle. After their landmark album White Water, it was clear that The Slow Show was not simply “another band from Manchester.” The legacy of the Smiths, Joy Division, and all those other great predecessors should not be overlooked, but The Slow Show is something else: an enchanting sound, rich in atmosphere and melody. With the band’s desire to push each other out of their respective comfort zones during the recording process, STILL LIFE offers a more diverse, rich, and interesting sound than the previous albums
