This new recording highlights the final stage of Frank Zappa and the Mothers of Invention's European tour in 1968, with sessions captured in London and Paris. This exceptional sound document brings together performances from BBC and ORTF television broadcasts, as well as rare recordings from American shows.
Side A – BBC TV Studios, London Recorded for the Late Night Line-Up show, this segment opens with a message from Frank Zappa thanking the BBC for its commitment to broadcasting innovative music, rarely accessible to the American public.
Side B – ORTF, Paris During their appearance on Forum Musiques, hosted by Philippe Koechlin, Zappa and his band perform "The String Quartet," a first stage version of the medley "Pound for a Brown" and "Sleeping in a Jar," in front of a small and captivated audience. Bonus – American television archives In addition, two rare tracks from television performances in the United States:
