The Kinks are one of the greatest British bands and one of the most influential rock bands of all time. Celebrating their 60th anniversary and compiled by The Kinks themselves, this is a new worldwide (remastered) top-level release combining the prestigious Pye and RCA catalogues. This is the first new Kinks Best Of in many years, especially on vinyl. It contains B-sides, key album tracks, band favourites and of course hits, including "Waterloo Sunset", "You Really Got Me", "Celluloid Heroes", "Supersonic Rocket Ship", "Dead End Street", "Death Of A Clown" and "All Day And All Of The Night". The booklet includes rare photos and personal track-by-track notes from the band. "The Journey - Part 2" will follow on September 29, 2023, in the same formats. 'The Journey' is a collection of tracks chosen by The Kinks themselves, Ray Davies, Dave Davies and Mick Avory, and reflects the trials and tribulations of their journey as a band since 1963. All recordings have been remastered from the original sources. The tracks are taken from all classic original Kinks albums, including "Kinda Kinks", "Face To Face", "Something Else" and the recently remastered 50th anniversary editions of "Village Green Preservation Society", "Lola, Muswell Hillbillies" and "Everybody's In Show-Biz".
