DAVE OKUMU, TOM HERBERT (bass and synth) and LEO TAYLOR (drums) have formed the group THE INVISIBLE since 2006, but their musical collaboration goes back much further and has taken shape in an enormous variety of projects. When they are not composing for The Invisible, they take part in many projects such as co-writing and producing JESSIE WARE’s album (OKUMU), playing with the English post-jazz legends POLAR BEAR (HERBERT) or playing drums on most of the songs on ADELE’s hugely successful second album “21” (TAYLOR). They have also played live and recorded with a very long list of musicians, a list that ranges from ST VINCENT for the tribute to TOM WAITS “Rain Dog Revisited”, to Britten Symphonia, as well as JACK DE JOHNETTE, MATTHEW HERBERT, HOT CHIP, ZONGAMIN, GRAMME and many others. Despite this, the musicians of THE INVISIBLE do not stray from what matters most to them. The beauty, emotion and intelligence of “Rispah” clearly demonstrate this.
