The Invisible is a project that began in 2006 when Dave Okumu teamed up with Leo Taylor and Tom Herbert. Together, they recorded songs under the name The Invisible. Their first self-titled album was released in March 2009, produced by Matthew Herbert, and was nominated for the prestigious Mercury Prize. Their second album, Rispah, was released in August 2012 on Ninja Tune. In the interim, Dave Okumu worked on numerous projects for other artists, notably Jessie Ware, whose debut album Devotion he produced and co-wrote. The promotional campaign for their second album was put on hold when Dave Okumu was electrocuted on stage during a concert in Lagos, Nigeria. After producing many albums, including the latest from Lilly Wood & The Prick, Shadows (The Invisible also opened for them on March 31st at the Zénith), Dave Okumu and his bandmates now deliver their third album, Patience, which is expected to be a new peak in their career.
