Nothing is ever really over. This is the leitmotif of The Eternal Youth, who believe in the rebirth of even the most moribund things. Barely a year and a half after the release of their first album, the Caen band returns with their second opus in hand. A short gap that might suggest the two productions are as alike as two drops of water from the fountain of youth. This is not the case! While Me and You Against The World, released in November 2018, is rooted in the punk of '77, Nothing Is Ever Over immerses itself in the '80s, cold wave, and post-punk. Somewhere between The Smiths, The Chameleons, Buzzcocks, and Alkaline Trio. With a polished production that highlights the arrangements and the lead vocals, this second album seems more mature and darker. The discourse and tone have hardened, but the energy remains the key word, uniting both newcomers and seasoned fans.
