Images of Life is a retrospective three-vinyl box set tracing the entire career of Ted Lucas, an underappreciated genius of songwriting in Detroit. The first record, Strange Mysterious Sounds (1965-1970), highlights his forays into psychedelia and the influence of major record labels through his bands Spike Drivers, Misty Wizards and Horny Toads. Rainy Days (1970-1974) offers the acoustic warmth and charm of his solo tracks, familiar to those who already know his eponymous 1975 OM album.
