Prolific folk musician, songwriter Sufjan Stevens unveils his new album "Carrie & Lowell": After numerous electro-pop, baroque, and even hip-hop experiments ("Sisyphus," a collaborative album with Son Lux and Serengeti), and even Christmas carols ("Silver & Gold" in 2012, a collection of Christmas-themed recordings), the hyperactive Detroit artist Sufjan Stevens announces his grand return to the roots folk that brought him success back in 2000 with "A Sun Came." It has been five years since "The Age of Adz" for the release of this new studio album, "Carrie & Lowell." The first video teaser immerses us in this folk music, as minimalist as it is luminous, of which Sufjan Stevens is a guardian. Casey Foubert, Laura Veirs, Nedelle Torrisi, Sean Carey, Ben Lester, and Thomas Bartlett participated in this album, named after the songwriter's mother and stepfather.
