Not Real

Description

The exotic pop of this female trio. Written, recorded and self-produced in Liverpool in their studio, Not Real is the long-awaited new album from STEALING SHEEP, due out on April 13 on Heavenly Recordings. It features delicate melodies, backed by powerful kicks, all carried by catchy vocals — that’s the recipe of Becky, Emily and Lucy! Often described as medieval Kraut-Folk, their music blends influences to create a sound unlike any other. On this new album, there is an electronic foundation with steady kicks and various samples used; there is also an 80s-inspired pop universe thanks to the synths and software, and finally a touch of exotica thanks to the meticulous work on the percussion. As attached to the music as to the image they project, the three musicians are keen to offer a colorful universe where pop naivety and surrealism intertwine.
