First complete live album by Sparks, the brothers Ron and Russell Mael, recorded in 2025. After their world tour last year, Sparks were invited to give a unique concert on the Moon - a first in history! The album includes an introduction and a conclusion by Cate Blanchett, who accompanied the band on this lunar journey. Sparks Live On The Moon features a full concert of twenty tracks retracing the 54 years of the band's career, including "This Town Ain't Big Enough For Both Of Us," "The Number One Song In Heaven," "When Do I Get To Sing 'My Way'," "The Girl Is Crying In Her Latte," and tracks from their latest album, MAD! Sparks Live On The Moon follows MAD!, their 28th critically acclaimed studio album, which reached 2nd place on the UK charts last year - their highest ranking to date! Since the release of MAD!, Sparks has traveled the world, notably giving their very first concerts in Hong Kong and in the Tarentius crater on the Moon. In 2026, the band continued to perform live, including in Japan, Australia, New Zealand, the UK, the Netherlands, France, and Belgium. Sparks is featured on the first single from the latest Gorillaz album, which has topped the charts, and they will be opening for them at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in June. In August, they will headline the second stage of the Green Man Festival(TM) and perform at Rock en Seine in Paris.
