Description

Released in October 1976, after Ron and Russell had moved back to the States from the UK, ‘Big Beat’ left behind their established backing band, ditching the baroque styles of Indiscreet for something more basic, with the recording overseen by producer Rupert Holmes. Whilst still three years away from reaching the top of the US charts with his single “Escape (The Pina Colada Song)”, 1976 also saw him contribute to Barbra Streisand’s multi-million selling soundtrack
