Joyful Noise Recordings presents Alternate Forms, a reimagining of Son Lux's album Lanterns (2013), nominated for Oscars and BAFTAs for their soundtrack to the film Everything Everywhere All At Once. The first track of Alternate Forms, "Alternate World (Alternate Life)" by Kishi Bashi, sets the tone for the entire album. Kishi Bashi has radically reimagined the song with his own voice, creating a completely new atmosphere and arrangement, infused with the pop magic that characterizes him. Son Lux and Kishi Bashi were both at Joyful Noise Recordings at the time of the release of Lanterns. Both artists share an extraordinary ability to create vast symphonic landscapes within the confined space of a 4-minute pop song - as you will hear on "Alternate World (Alternate Life)."
