Lucciole

Description

Lucciole is a luminous album by Silvia Tarozzi, following the intimate reflections of Mi specchio e rifletto and the deeply rooted folk dialogues of Canti di guerra, di lavoro e d’amore with Deborah Walker. Here, Tarozzi gathers voices, memories, and musical legacies to create an album where avant-garde composition, personal narrative, and collective resonance intertwine freely. The album opens with a radiant brass ensemble (chosen for its popular, festive, and spiritual sound) and closes with the Piccolo Coro Angelico, the children's choir she has collaborated with for over fifteen years and describes as "my best composition school and an inexhaustible source of hope." Between these two key moments, Tarozzi's songs trace life's transitions with a rare tenderness: from childhood to adolescence, from health to fragility, from presence to absence. The strings, voices, and melodic contours that characterize Mi specchio e rifletto reappear here with new warmth and depth. Produced by Tarozzi in close collaboration with Marta Salogni, who handled recording and mixing, Lucciole emanates a clarity, intimacy, and sonic generosity that reflect their shared journey throughout the recording process. Lucciole is an album that evokes the small lights carried by moments of transition, an invitation to listen carefully to the places where life changes, and the people, living or departed, who illuminate our path.
