« The Adventures of the Hersham Boys » is an album by the punk group Sham 69, released in 1979. It is their most popular album, reaching the 8th place on the British charts. On their first album, Sham 69 sounded like a band of energetic and somewhat naive punk rockers, full of good intentions and enthusiasm. But their style had radically changed with the recording of « The Adventures of Hersham Boys » in 1979. While their early recordings took a stripped-down and minimalist approach, in the manner of a cockney version of the Ramones, this album is dominated by heavy tempos and catchy melodies. « The Adventures of Hersham Boys » was one of Sham 69's biggest hits and spawned two successful singles: « Hersham Boys » and « Questions and Answers ». « The Adventures of Hersham Boys » is available in a limited edition numbered to 750 copies on translucent red vinyl, with a gatefold cover.
