To celebrate the 20th anniversary of his album 'Hot Shot' (which sold 10 million copies worldwide), Shaggy is releasing Hot Shot 2020, featuring revisited versions of his greatest hits.
Twenty years ago, Shaggy's first album, 'Hot Shot', was released. Driven by the hits "It Wasn't Me" and "Angel", the album was a triumph (diamond-certified). Even better, Shaggy became one of the first pioneers of the genre to export dancehall and reggae-infused hits to the four corners of the world. On July 10th, Shaggy is releasing Hot Shot 2020, in which he covers, reinterprets, and re-records his greatest hits, from "It Wasn't Me" to "Hey Sexy Lady" and "Boombastic" (the famous global Levi's synchronization), while also including 4 new unreleased singles.
The iconic "It Wasn't Me" is the first single from Hot Shot 2020. The original version was a #1 hit worldwide, especially in the US and the UK. In France, the track was #1 on the Top Singles chart for 10 consecutive weeks and #1 on radio airplay.
