SASAMI releases her new album, Squeeze, on Domino. Author, producer, and classically trained composer, SASAMI is an influential figure in the American indie rock scene. A multi-instrumentalist, she has collaborated on several studio albums (Curtis Harding, Hand Habits), played in several bands (Cherry Glazerr, Dirt Dress), and composed film scores. Co-produced with Ty Segall, SASAMI's upcoming album, Squeeze, blends the power of nu-metal, the tenderness of country-pop and folk, as well as the romanticism of classical music. Among the other contributors are Dirk Verbeuren from Megadeth and Andrew Thomas Huang (Björk, FKA Twigs), who designed the album cover. Built in the form of an opera, the different "movements" of Squeeze take the listener on an emotional, captivating, and sensational journey.
