Sasami Ashworth, alias Sasami, will release her self-titled debut album on March 8 via Domino. A singer, songwriter, and producer, Sasami has been an influential artist on the Los Angeles indie rock scene for about ten years. A multi-instrumentalist, she has played in several local bands (Cherry Glazerr, Dirt Dress), collaborated on several studio albums (Curtis Harding, Wild Nothing, or Hand Habits), and composed film scores.Composed and produced by Sasami, her album presents itself as a diary reflecting her emotions and disappointments. The record features collaborations with Soko, Devendra Banhart, and Dustin Payseur. Discovered at the Pitchfork Avant Garde festival, Sasami has been dubbed 'the next big thing' and is emerging as the new hope of the indie rock scene.Includes the tracks "Not The Time", "Jealousy", and "Callous".
