Le groupe culte revient après 22 ans d'absenceQuicksand émerge de la scène hardcore New Yorkaise à la fin des années 80, regroupant des membres deGorilla Biscuits, Youth of Today et Bold and Beyond. Ils sortent leur premier album Slip en 1992 et entamentune tournée mondiale dans la foulée. Cet album, acclamé par la critique, influencera des artistes comme At theDrive-In ou Thursday. Le groupe se séparera en 1995 après un deuxième album. Les membres s'investissentdans des projets personnels comme Handsomeou encore Rival Schools avant de se reformer en 2012, pourun concert qui mènera à une tournée internationale.
