New edition of the iconic 2002 album from British experimental rock legends
In Absentia is Porcupine Tree's seventh studio album, released in 2002, and the first of a trio of albums that, for many, represent the pinnacle of the band's artistic achievements. Few albums can claim to have created a new genre, but with its fusion of metal, progressive rock, ambient textures and acoustic songs, it became something of a template for a generation of bands to come. It was also something of a breakthrough for the band, selling three times as many copies as the band's previous albums. This new 2021 Transmission re-release of In Absentia remains true to the original artwork and is presented in a digipack with an 8-page full-colour booklet.
