CLOSURE / CONTINUATION. LIVE. AMSTERDAM 07/11/22

Description

Porcupine Tree’s eleventh album, Closure/Continuation, was released to rave reviews. It reached number two in the UK album chart, number one in Germany, and charted in the Top 10 across Europe. The arena tour that followed spanned four continents and played to more than 150,000 people, many of whom had never seen the band before. Each night, the band played for nearly three hours and drew on a rich and deep catalogue that had remained dormant and untouched over the past decade. Fan reactions from city to city were nothing short of ecstatic. Closure/Continuation. Live perfectly documents Porcupine Tree’s triumphant return to the stage. Recorded live on November 7, 2022 at Amsterdam’s 17,000-capacity Ziggo Dome, it places the listener/viewer at the heart of the action for the full duration of the concert. Psychedelic visuals explode behind the band as they play a series of songs including - to quote Steven Wilson - “no hits,” where each one is received like an anthem from an alternate universe. Closure/Continuation. Live brings together Wilson, Barberi and Harrison, along with musicians Randy McStine (guitars) and Nate Navarro (bass), who perform much of Porcupine Tree’s 2022 reunion album (including the singles Harridan and Of The New Day), as well as classics such as Trains, Fear of a Blank Planet and Anesthetize.
