The neo-classical composer Poppy Ackroyd, who was part of The Hidden Orchestra, releases her fourth album "Resolve," which comes out on the One Little Indian label (Bjork, Cody Chesnutt). While her earlier albums consisted of using only the piano and violin, pushing their possibilities as far as possible, the Brighton musician goes further this time with multiple arrangements for clarinet, flute, cello, and hang. With this new instrumental album, Poppy Ackroyd aligns herself with the legacy of Nils Frahm, Max Richter, and Hauschka. The crystalline piano with its echoing loops blends with the violins, and these classical sounds mix with more contemporary melodies.
