The music of Point Mort is generally characterized by a constant interplay between darkness and light – harsh themes balanced by moments of calm and brightness. Their new album, "Le point de non-retour," breaks away from this pattern. An introspective and dark work, it offers no comfort, just a bitter reflection on existence. Musically, while remaining instinctive and emotionally intense, the band goes further, incorporating elements of pop, electro, and rap. The production is more refined, with new sonic explorations including folk guitar, rap phrasing, an increased use of synthesizers, and for the first time, a completely electronic track created without acoustic instruments.
