Philip Glass

Glassworks

Description

Glassworks is the most enjoyable work ever released by minimalist artist Philip Glass. Six superb pieces assembled to create a Pop-oriented album. The Philip Glass Ensemble performs the record with a pleasant minimalist sound, in an almost New Age vein. Glass anticipated the funding issues of his more ambitious projects, so he created a more accessible and easier-to-sell record. And successfully so. Over 200,000 copies sold in five years.
