4 CD remastered box set by Peter Hammill bringing together his first four studio albums released on his own label, Fie! Records, between 1992 and 1996. Peter Hammill first gained recognition as a founding member and singer of the legendary progressive rock band Van der Graaf Generator. Alongside his work with Van der Graaf Generator, Peter Hammill has had a long career as an innovative and avant-garde solo artist. In 1992, he created his own label, Fie!, to manage his solo work, starting with the release that same year of the acclaimed album "Fireships." A more introspective work, the album was presented in the original booklet as "Number 1 of the BeCalm series" and received numerous rave reviews thanks to tracks like "I Will Find You," "Curtains," and "Gaia." In 1993, Peter released the more rock-oriented album "The Noise" (considered at the time as "Number 1 of the A Loud series"). In 1995, another excellent album, "Roaring Forties," was released, which includes the track "A Headlong Stretch." "X My Heart," released in March 1996, is another high-quality opus, featuring tracks like "Amnesiac" and "A Better Time." This box set offers remastered versions of these albums, accompanied by an illustrated booklet containing previously unseen photographs and sleeve notes by Peter Hammill.
