SO, this opus, the artist's 5th studio album, is without a doubt his greatest success. The track Sledgehammer reached number 1 on the US Billboard chart and on the UK charts. It is also an opportunity to rediscover the song Don't Give Up, a duet with singer Kate Bush. Several renowned guests participated in SO, such as Manu Katché, Stewart Copeland, and David Rhodes on "That Voice Again". US is the sixth studio album (the ninth overall) by Peter Gabriel. The album's singles are Digging in the Dirt, Steam, Blood of Eden (also in Wim Wenders' film Until the End of the World, released in 1991), and Kiss That Frog. UP, the album's lyrics deal mainly with birth and especially death. The opening track, Darkness, is a song about overcoming fears. Growing Up is a summation of life subject to pulses. The first single, The Barry Williams Show, is a downbeat, jazzy song about talk shows like Jerry Springer's. The second single, More Than This, is one of the most upbeat tracks on the album. The song asks the question of whether there is something more to live for.
