Mysticisms celebrates the tenth installment of its Dubplate series with a special edition dedicated to remixes and new versions of Persian's tracks, reworked by young producers and label affiliates. Initially a one-off project, Dubplate has become a pillar of the label's mission: to highlight dub-influenced dancefloor lessons. South London producer Picasso opens the EP with his abstract grooves blending Dub and Tech House. His tracks, designed for the dancefloor, prioritize textures, atmospheres, and complex rhythms over classic melodies. Sam "Andrews" McKay offers a series of immersive soundscapes inspired by ambient, jazz, and experimental music. Alongside Persian, he revisits the tracks, infusing them with deep basses, distorted grooves, and weightless dub atmospheres. Space Within Art transitions from street soul to reggae to hypnotic Dub House with psychedelic vocals. Dunya 2 blends jazz breakbeat, harp, strings, and dub bass in a psychedelic crescendo. D Dub Twist offers a deep Digi Dub combining sound experimentation and oriental samples dear to Persian. The EP closes with Jacob's Dub, a fusion of roots, Lovers, and Stepper, transformed into abstract house driven by Picasso's signature groove.
