On sunset

Paul Weller releases his 15th studio album, On Sunset, on June 12. It includes ten eclectic tracks blending soul, electronic, orchestral, masterful pop and thrilling ballads, an album filled with touches of experimentation. Ben Gordelier appears on all tracks and Andy Crofts on most, while Steve Cradock appears with his guitar on 4 tracks. A surprising gathering of guests appears on On Sunset, including Jim Lea of Slade contributing violin, “More” featuring a verse sung by French artist Julie Gros, from the band Le Superhomard, as well as the return of guitarist Josh McClorey from Strype. The English folk trio The Staves provides backing vocals on 3 tracks. Once again, Hannah Peel casts her magic over the album with string arrangements and The Paraorchestra on 4 tracks.
