"I have always been saddened that no one understands that our songs were love songs," says Eugene Robinson, singer and songwriter of OXBOW, reflecting on the band's career over the past 35 years. Love may not have been the most obvious muse for their early projects, but the subject has never been more evident than on their eighth studio album and their first new music in six years, "Love's Holiday." The band once again worked with Grammy-winning engineer and co-producer Joe Chiccarelli (White Stripes, My Morning Jacket). This is the third album the band has collaborated on with him, and the members all assert that their trust in him allowed the album to venture into even more enticing directions, featuring appearances from Roger Joseph Manning Jr. (Jellyfish) and Lingua Ignota.
