This CD features the two original albums on which the great Oscar Peterson celebrates the music of Jerome Kern. He recorded the first in 1952-53 in mono with his trio, featuring Barney Kessel on guitar and Ray Brown on bass. He recorded exactly the same twelve tracks in 1959, again with Ray Brown on bass, in stereo, with Ed Thigpen on drums. It also includes a 1953 version of Look For The Silver Lining, which was not on the original LP. Plus two excellent duets by Oscar Peterson and Ray Brown from 1950.
