MY FAVORITE INSTRUMENT (VOLUME 4)
Description
Vol. 4 of the legendary trio concert series “Exclusively For My Friends”. Recorded by MPS founder Hans Georg Brunner-Schwer. “The beauty of Oscar Peterson’s sound has never been captured better than here.” (Gene Lees). Previously available only as a box set - now finally available as a standalone LP. AAA remastering by Grammy-nominated Christoph Stickel. This is a long-awaited album. Only in a solo album can Oscar show the full range of his playing. [Art] Tatum felt that rhythm sections got in the way. So did he. The piano, for better or worse, is a self-contained instrument. Of course, Oscar plays superbly in a rhythm section context, and he always used first-rate rhythm sections. But anyone who has not heard him play alone cannot know how immense his playing is. This record makes that possible.Buy MY FAVORITE INSTRUMENT (VOLUME 4) at the best price
