It was Graeme Thomson's book Themes for Great Cities that inspired Jérôme Didelot, leader of Orwell, to rearrange tracks by Simple Minds. This biography, which pays tribute to Simple Minds' early years, had a revelatory effect on the Nancy-based musician: "The idea was not to reinterpret songs that everyone has already hummed, but to delve into the Scottish band's discography for lesser-known themes, and to offer them in personal versions."
