Saxophonist and composer multiple times awarded, Nubya Garcia is back with a highly anticipated debut album titled " SOURCE ", the first recording with the iconic label Concord Jazz. On this album, produced by Garcia in collaboration with the renowned producer Kwes (Nerija, Bobby Womack, Solange) she reunites with Joe Armon-Jones (keys), Daniel Casimir (double bass) and Sam Jones (drums). A true collection of musical mantras, " SOURCE " is a decidedly personal album in which Garcia draws a kind of mapping based on her own identity, family history, grief, the ties of the African diaspora and the sense of community. The common thread of " SOURCE " is the quest for personal balance in order to be more present with others. The realization of individual and collective power, or how the saxophonist rediscovers her values by reconnecting with herself, her roots and her community.
