Composed of some of the biggest stars in country music, North Mississippi Allstars returns with Up And Rolling: a portrait of modern Mississippi. In 2017, Wyatt McSpadden finds an old roll of film and then sets out to track down the members of North Mississippi Allstars to share his forgotten photos with them. The images were so deep and so beautiful that they became the inspiration for their new album, Up And Rolling. The images led the band to ask: “What did the music of that night sound like in ’96? What does Mississippi music sound like now? What would ideally be on the AM/FM radio push-button while we were driving through the hills?” North Mississippi Allstars returned to the famous Zebra Ranch to record Up And Rolling, inspired by Wyatt’s images. With their tube amps and old computers, they began to create modern Mississippi music, both old and futuristic at the same time. Up And Rolling is modern Mississippi.
