Live From Blackalachia

Live From Blackalachia is an album of dynamic, live-band arrangements of songs from Moses Sumney’s first two albums. It was recorded in the Blue Ridge Mountains during the summer of 2020, on a stage built on a hill nestled into a 76-acre ranch. In January 2020, Moses Sumney and his band gathered in Western North Carolina to craft festival-appropriate versions of songs from *Aromanticism* and *græ*. When the world shut down and touring was canceled, Moses held onto the desire to share this performance, but in a new way. Not just a live stream or live album. A film. So in the summer of 2020, the band reconvened in Asheville and conceived Live From Blackalachia. Moses directed the concert-conceptual film, and also decided to release the audio on vinyl. This first live album from Moses Sumney contains the unreleased track "space nation race place".
