The emerging British band Wunderhorse makes their grand return with their new album "Midas." A highly anticipated album, following the success of their debut "Cub" released in 2022 and a long tour that followed, notably opening for established artists such as Fontaines D.C., Pixies, Sam Fender, Foals... At the end of 2022, the release of their first album "Cub" saw the singles "Purple" and "Leader of the Pack" dominate the airwaves. Landmark concerts filled the Woodsies Tent at Glastonbury (FKA John Peel Stage) and sold out the Kentish Town Forum in London months in advance, after tours with Pixies and Fontaines D.C. and appearances in stadiums with Sam Fender, signaling the band's arrival as one of the most prominent and exciting new guitar groups in the UK. With Grammy Award-winning producer Craig Silvey (The Rolling Stones, The National, Florence + The Machine) on board for their second album, the band sought to do something different. Their goal - in the same studio where Nirvana recorded "In Utero" and where PJ Harvey recorded "Rid of Me" (nominated for the Mercury Prize) - was to step out of their comfort zone. "There is absolutely no cheating on this record," concludes Slater, "it's not meant to be perfect; it's meant to be a snapshot, even if it's a bit of an ugly portrait.
