Recorded between Lausanne and Brussels during the summer of 2019, this new series of tracks further explores the tribal, rustic, and minimalist trend found in the two previous albums. The desire to seek out sounds, to manipulate the material – sonic material, rhythmic material – kneading it until its hottest point, guided the composition process. All vintage guitars were recorded without amplifiers, and tambourines and other maracas were approached as a drum kit. Harmonies and melodies are still very present, and even enhanced by the occasional participation of a female vocal choir or a minimalist synth line. And then there's always that desire to use their native French language while trying to avoid the pitfalls of pop music. This Lausanne trio combines sensibility with intrigue and crafts trance-like, delicate sounds that result in a mystical product. This psychedelic acoustic effect is even stronger when accompanied by two-part harmonies, creating an atmosphere that is both minimalist and energetic. --- LES INROCKS ---.
