QUELQUE PART (vinyl)

Description

Three years after their first release "L'Avenir est devant", the Boaziz/Féjol duo, augmented by a drummer, a.k.a. Mendelson, returns with a more electric album. Some of its brilliance can be attributed to the mixing by a member of Diabologum and the production by freelance guitarist Noël Akchoté, who brings to the group the free saxophone sounds of Daunik Lazro, Joëlle Leandre's arco playing, and Charlie O's organ, all proponents of avant-garde music. Dark and disillusioned, "Quelque Part" cultivates the gloom of urban ballads that evoke the sadness of the suburbs, as well as some sublimated influences, including those of Diabologum and Miossec.
