Maxwell FARRINGTON (vinyle eponyme)

Description

Elusive yet instantly recognizable, the French people's favorite Australian delivers with this first solo album a record entirely in his image, oscillating between retro pop and slightly offbeat ballads with a delicately British charm. Having arrived in France a few years ago, Maxwell left his mark as a nonchalant crooner in Marseille, then Toulouse, before settling in Saint-Brieuc in Brittany where he works as a chef. A true musical multi-tool, he is equally comfortable as a composer, songwriter, and arranger, and he meanders through his musical career as one would do their shopping, a basket under their arm and their nose in the air, in search of appetizing aromas. In this aromatic-musical stroll, Maxwell Farrington collaborates extensively (with the noise band Dewaere, who are currently preparing their second album for 2022) and achieves national recognition with Superhomard, with whom he recorded the acclaimed album *Once*, released in 2020. With this first solo effort, Maxwell opens the door to his madcap universe, crooning as one delicately slices, whispering as one carefully spices, and laying his voice on an all-encompassing pop bed as one savors a good dish with a wooden spoon. The Australian-Breton artist will release his album at the end of 2021 on the labels Beast Records and Crème Brûlée Records, with special support from the association La Nef D Fous, based in Binic, as is Le Chaland Qui Passe, the restaurant where Maxwell has been a chef for 5 years.
