La Traversée (The Crossing) is the second album by Matthias Puech on the Hallow Ground label, following Mt. Hadamard National Park (2023). Deeply inspired by a reinterpretation of The Odyssey, the French composer, instrument designer, and researcher used a Eurorack modular synthesizer to create four pieces that are among the most intuitive and emotionally intense in his ever-expanding catalog. Puech's sound mastery is expressed here with a renewed urgency and clarity. A true wandering meditation on the human condition, La Traversée is an album in perpetual motion — a complex work of electronic music that is both captivating and evocative.
