Description

The Mind Travels collection, initiated by the label Ici d'ailleurs in 2014, is dedicated to neo-classical, ambient, and industrial music, with a strong subtext of their hybridization, in order to always offer unexpected records and promote a radical artistic vision. In this sense, if the Mind Travels artists share this same desire, the first volumes of the collection testify to a real diversity, each record constituting a new approach within a space of expression that encourages risk-taking. This strong musical identity goes hand in hand with a specific graphic charter, designed around the work of designer Francis Meslet (Urbex), who produces all the artworks for the collection. Music and visuals come together here with the common goal of transcending the senses and attempt to produce a substantive discourse on how to perceive and receive a work. Mathias Delplanque has over 15 years of activity under various pseudonyms (Bidlo, Lena...). Author of about 20 albums and as many In Situ sound creations, he also has numerous collaborations to his credit: Sylvain Chauveau, Charlélie Couture, L'Orchestre du Ballet Royal du Cambodge...
