"The fairy." That's the nickname her parents gave her, which also lends its name to the opening track of marguerite's debut EP. Not quite a introductory record, since it was preceded by the saving tidal wave of "les filles, les meufs", but a coming-of-age story that sketches the contours of an immediately endearing personality, whose artistic rigor seeps through every note. Revealed on the show Star Academy, marguerite delivers this first EP, grandir, with disarming sincerity. A singer-songwriter, she draws from the many pages filled in her notebooks, unfolding a narrative thread that allows for both intimate confession and speaking to everyone. "These are six little pieces of me," marguerite confides about an EP whose title refers as much to the transformations of flowers as to that lovely phrase by Aldebert: "Growing up is about creating first times."
