After already teasing three of the tracks during her last tour, GRAMMY-nominated composer, producer, and performer Maggie Rogers will release 'Don't Forget Me', her third studio album.
Regarding this album, written in just five days, she explains: "Some of the stories on this record are mine. And for the first time, some aren't. The moments that are mine feel like memories - glimpses of college, details from when I was 18, 22, 28 (I'm 29 now). Writing the album sequentially, a character emerged. I started imagining a girl on a road trip across the American South and West." About the audio, Maggie Rogers says: "Most of the performances you'll hear are first takes. The recordings were originally a collection of demos intended to be re-recorded with a band. I think that's how it all came together. I thought we were just playing, shaking hands musically for the first time. We got together again in March to try and improve the arrangements, but every time we tried to change them, it felt like we were losing something. Listening back, we realized that releasing the pressure allowed us to drop our guard and pretensions in the studio, which gave us a lot of character and heart."
