Mad Foxes combines the phlegm of the English post-punk scene and the spontaneity of Seattle grunge. An intense and incandescent message, an indelible love for Slaves, All Them Witches, and Shame. 'Ashamed,' the band's second album, explores necessary and intimate themes. It deals with male toxicity and patriarchy in the tracks "Ashamed" and "Gender Eraser." The band directly seeks its place on "Propeller," and introspectively on the ballad "Home." Love is cynical on "Crystal Glass," insurmountable on "Fear of Love." "The Cheapest Friend" shows us that the friend to count on when you're at your lowest often goes by the sweet name of anxiety. Finally, as a candid response to the darkness, Mad Foxes simply observes the beauty of the world around them. "Sights" and "Patience" thus become talismans of a multifaceted album. Following 'Desert Island Wish,' their first album in 2018, the band releases 'Ashamed' on the independent label El Muchacho Records. Recording and mixing were once again entrusted to Christophe Hogommat (Dust Lovers, Wizard Must Die, etc...). After supporting bands like MNNQNS, Toybloid, Clavicule, and We Hate You Please Die, and playing on numerous festival and club stages in France, Germany, and Belgium, the band returns in 2021 with heart and sweat.
